Pacific Flyway

Between Rio Linda and E Nicolaus are many rice fields now between growing seasons. Some are partially filled with water to provide an attractive habitat for migratory waterfowl. The geese and ducks can sometimes be an amazing spectacle. Thousands flying in circles looking like they’re deciding exactly where to land.
