Los pollitos

Baby chicks - dyed. As we walk the streets of Guaymas lately, you hear "cheep-cheep" of baby chicks. One afternoon, a little girl was playing on the plaza, her red baby chick chasing her, she giggled delightedly. A couple of days later, we found a street vendor selling them, he had a lot of customers.
$25 peso each ($1.92 USD) each. They are dropped into a little paper sack, air holes provided. The customer also gets a little bag of chick feed.

We think this must be a Christmas season specialty and people of all ages seem to be making the purchases.
