This campground in Orford NH, I would definitely recommend. Friendly people, hot showers, flushing toilets, half-price for bicyclists (and half the cost at Henderson's), water and electricity at each campsite, and right in town.
They also have docks for boaters on the Connecticut River,
and canoes and kayaks for rent. Our campsite is in the distance.
The owner of the campground suggested we try the deli at Patterson's down the street. The building doesn't look like much but the grinders are HUGE, cheap, and delicious. We are big fans of $5 Footlongs at Subway, but for the same price you get a sandwich that is three times the size and weight. Needless to say, we were stuffed!! We ate there yesterday and today.
