Pahoa Pear Perfection

A recipe has to be really good to get published here.  This one qualifies.

Crust

½ cup butter, softened
1/3 cup white sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
¾ cup flour
2/3 cup nuts, chopped

Combine ingredients. Press in bottom of 8 X 8-inch pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Crust will look uncooked.

Filling1 (8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
1 large egg
¼ cup white sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla

Beat all ingredients until smooth, pour into baked crust.

Topping1 large can pears, drained and sliced
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Place pear wedges neatly on top of the filling. Mix sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle on top of pears. Bake 25 minutes at 375 degrees. Cool and refrigerate.
