Morning coffee at Sylvia and Bill's.
No avocados today.
Trip #1 to the beach with some of the toys,
chairs, towels, tent, ice chest, and people.
Bill and I went back to load the Hobie kayak which we launched at the small boat harbor.
This kayak is multi-functional with a sail kit, oars, pedals, outriggers, and lots of storage space. We were on our way to check on the boat.
Still afloat
but with a bad "bruise" from a boat which had broken loose and hit her.
After we pedaled over to Kalapaki Beach where the rest of the group. Pat is on the SUP.
Sylvia on the Calypso kayak.
Bill tries out the SUP.
What a fun day!

Arlete, My name is Ben Maes. I've met you at the Legion Hall in Rio Linda and also met Dick at Jim Reed's place. Lucy Reed is my sister. I live in Honolulu (Hawaii Kai area). I was sorry to read about Dick's illness but am happy he's doing better. My biggest regret is I didn't know he was here on Oahu for medical care in October. I could have given you moral and material support. If you get back here and on Oahu, please let me know beforehand. We would love to see you and Dick. We don't get to the mainland much anymore, maybe once a year. Like it here much better and trying to get Jim and Lucy to come over for a visit. Aloha.
ReplyDeleteHello Ben, good to re-meet you via this blog. It would have been nice to have had some additional support while Dick was at Straub Hospital in Honolulu. If we get back to Oahu, we will get in touch with your through Lucy and Jim. Thanks for posting your comment.
