Fun with Phyl: day 1

e drove to the north side of the island ... after we traded in the Lincoln for a compact car.  Much better!

A lookout point just north of Kapaa:

The farther north we drove, the more rain fell.  No umbrellas so our exploring was cut short to the small town of Hanalei, the site of Strings and Things. Like what? Ukuleles

and yarn (the only yarn shop on the island). I guess those two things go together.

Can Phyl find more yarn to add to her stash? Yes. Did she buy so much she needs to create stash location #9? No.

On the local TV news tonight, the broadcaster said, "Due to the inauguration on Monday January 21, sunrise will not take place." Powerful.
