To West Glacier

There would be no sun this morning, instead clouds and rain accompanied us as we rode out of Whitefish. We joined US 2 and pedaled toward Hungry Horse. It was time to try one of the local treats: huckleberry pie with huckleberry ice cream. And don't call this fruit a blueberry, even though they look very much alike.We rode into West Glacier, found an expensive little grocery store then on to Glacier Campground with its 175 secluded wooded sites. When you're near national parks or popular state parks, everything is more expensive. We are too early in the season to ride Going to the Sun Road, Logan's Pass is still closed. We will have to continue on US 2, along the south edge of Glacier National Park.
