To Cooperstown

After 17,000 bicycle touring miles, we are trying a new strategy. I start riding right after breakfast. Dick packs up our entire camp, stretches, drinks coffee, and starts his ride about an hour later riding a faster pace. Today he caught up with me at mile 30.

We met an interesting touring family today: John, Valerie, Deirdre, Ian, and Zara from Portland OR, riding to Washington DC. At the Cooperstown city park, the kids went off to the playground equipment while John and Valerie worked hard all afternoon and evening preparing dinner and setting up camp.

Miles completed = 1964
