To the ferry

It's cold, we think, and we're bundled up in many layers of clothing. I can't figure out how the locals can go around in shirtsleeves.
An expensive stop at REI, the fanciest one we've ever seen. There was a 20-foot waterfall, a restaurant on the top floor and a large play area for kids. I had to buy a new handlebar bag and have the rear brake cable replaced.

Our timing was perfect, no waiting at all. We board after all the cars, but get off first when we arrive at Bainbridge Island.
