To Harvey County Park E of Newton

It was going to be a hot day, so I was riding before the sun came up but light enough to be safe. We also planned to ride fewer miles today, set up camp and find a cool place to hide out for the afternoon.
The mist from the end of this irriagtion method aided by a south breeze felt pretty good for about 10 seconds.
The only place to camp was east of Newton at Harvey County Park.  We set up camp, Dick had to take a shower immediately since he'd had to ride through the dust of a feed corn harvester.

We drove back to Newton, had lunch, did a little shopping, and went to the public library until it closed. The local bank showed the temperature as 110°. As the sun moved toward the horizon, it dropped behind a cloud bank which helped to bring the temperature down a bit faster. Nevertheless, it was still 88° when we went to bed. Tomorrow will be cooler according to the weather forecast, my fingers are crossed.

Miles = 2086
