Sidetrip to Grand Junction

Today was a rest day, but also an opportunity to visit with our sister-in-law Julie's mother, Ann, who lives in Grand Junction. We had a wonderful lunch at the Rockslide Brewery
and checked out the public art in the downtown area.  This buffalo is made from car bumpers.

We drove to Colorado National Monument.  View from Cold Shivers Point:

Thank you, Ann, for showing us such a great time.

  1. What amazing travellers you guys are - your energy and enthusiasm leave me gobsmacked. I have just arrived back from Canada and Alaska where I was privileged to experience some amazing sights and wonderful destinations travelling by coach, train (3 times) and ship. Geo kept the home fires burning while I traipsed off with my sister. Geo and I are joining Darren & Haruka in Vanuatu on 17th Sept for 10 days. We're both feeling just a little apprehensive. Regards. Marion
